Monitoring Services

A bells-only alarm relies on somebody nearby caring enough to investigate. On an industrial estate at 2am, or a school over the summer, nobody is. The detection works perfectly and nothing happens.

Monitoring closes that gap. Activations go to an alarm receiving centre where operators verify what has happened and escalate it — to your keyholders, to a response provider, or to the police against a unique reference number.

Alarm monitoring uses confirmed activation to BS 8243, which means two independent detections before escalation. That is what keeps false alarms down and keeps police response available, because a URN is withdrawn after repeated unnecessary calls.

CCTV monitoring goes further. Cameras can be monitored live on detected motion within defined zones and times, with operators able to challenge an intruder over speakers before anything is taken. For sites with stock, plant or fuel outside, that is often the difference between a deterred attempt and a claim.

Everything is logged. You get a record of activations, verifications, escalations and outcomes — which is what lets you see whether a particular door, detector or camera zone is generating noise and needs adjusting.

Response Management

Intruder alarm monitoring

Confirmed activation signalling to a 24/7 ARC with your escalation procedure.

Live CCTV monitoring

Camera zones monitored on detection during agreed hours, with audio challenge.

Keyholder response

Your named keyholders called in order, or a professional response provider attends.

Police response

Escalation to police against a URN where the system and installer qualify.

Open and close monitoring

Alerts when a site is not set on time or is opened outside expected hours.

Activation reporting

Logged signals and outcomes so nuisance sources can be identified and fixed.

Police response requires an inspectorate-registered installer and confirmed activation to BS 8243 — and it is withdrawn after repeated false calls.

Why choose Recall

Frequently asked

Will monitoring stop our false alarms?

It will expose them. Confirmed activation logic prevents most single-detector false calls escalating, and the activation log shows exactly which detector or zone is causing trouble so it can be corrected.

Yes — monitoring windows are set by day and time, which is how most sites keep the cost proportionate.

Yes. Police attendance does not secure the building afterwards, so someone still needs to attend and reset.

Usually. We check the signalling device is supportable, reconfigure it to our ARC and rebuild the escalation plan with you.

Is anything actually happening when your alarm goes off?

Monitoring turns a noise on a wall into a verified response.
